# Getting Started

Getting started with Vertical Motion takes less than two minutes.

#### Step 1: Create your account

Head to Motion and sign up. No credit card required.

#### Step 2: Explore your free credits

Every account starts with free credits to generate your first scenes and test the platform. Enough to create short clips, explore features, and get familiar with the workflow.

#### Step 3: Start in the Playground

The fastest way to begin is the Playground.

Simply describe what you want to generate, and Motion will create an image or video clip using state-of-the-art models.

#### Step 4: Build scene by scene

Instead of generating everything in one prompt, Motion lets you create videos one scene at a time.

Each scene can be planned, generated, and refined independently, giving you much more control over longer projects.

#### Step 5: Keep transitions seamless (First Frame / Last Frame)

Want your scenes to flow naturally?

Define the last frame of Scene 1 and use it as the first frame of Scene 2. This creates continuity across cuts and keeps your video consistent.

#### Step 6: Use Elements & References for consistency

Motion automatically tracks the building blocks of your video:

* **Elements** (characters, objects)
* **References** (environments, styles)

Generate them once, then reuse them across every scene for consistent results.

#### Step 7: Edit and arrange in Studio (Desktop Only)

When your clips are ready, open Studio to compose the final video.

Drag, drop, and arrange scenes on a multi-track timeline, export in multiple aspect ratios, and preview your project in real time.

#### Step 8: Plan complex projects with Director (Desktop Only)

For longer videos, use Director Mode.

Just describe what you want to create in chat, and Motion will help you:

* plan scenes
* build a visual scene flow
* manage characters and environments
* generate multiple scenes in batches

#### Step 9: Upgrade when you're ready

Running out of credits? Upgrade to Pro or top up with credit packs.

Pay with card or $VERTAI, and unlock higher limits across the Motion workflow.
