The Revenue Model of Vertical is designed to support both users and the platform through several income streams. With multiple earning opportunities for users and fees from platform transactions, Vertical can continue growing while keeping things rewarding for everyone involved.
Users on the Vertical platform can generate revenue through license-based access to their AI models and datasets:
License-Based Access Model creators can earn revenue by offering users license-based access to their models. Users pay a recurring fee (weekly, monthly, etc.) to access the API of a model. This subscription allows them to integrate the model into their applications, and creators receive income based on these regular payments.
Selling Datasets Users can earn from their datasets by listing them on the Vertical Marketplace, where others can purchase them for their own AI projects.
Vertical generates revenue through two primary streams:
Creator Subscription Payments Users will be able to freely use the Vertical Studio to train models. However, to deploy and use these models in their applications or list them on the Marketplace, they will need to subscribe to one of the platform’s monthly plans:
Transaction Fees Vertical will charge a fee of up to 15% on all transactions, depending on the user’s subscription plan. This includes:
Monthly license payments from users to creators for API access. A fee of up to 15% is applied to the amount paid by users for model access.
Query Costs: Each time users make API calls or run queries on a model, they cover the usage costs (such as GPU expenses). Vertical will apply a fee of up to 15% on these query costs.
Any other purchases, such as datasets or access to premium features that have not been unlocked.
Vertical is aiming to use a prepaid credit system to keep things running and avoid unpaid costs. Users need to maintain balance of credits, which cover the costs of API queries. This way, usage fees are always prepaid, and the platform can automatically deduct fees without any issues related to unpaid transactions.
This structure not only protects Vertical but also ensures that users can manage their usage and avoid any unexpected charges.
Vertical’s revenue model is expected to grow with its creators and users through subscription payments and transaction fees. A prepaid credit system covers user costs upfront, keeping usage safe. This approach drives Vertical’s growth, ensures long-term sustainability, and builds a lasting ecosystem for "vertical" AI models.
